'Winter Music': A world of sound comes to Blacktown Arts

Blacktown Arts invites locals and music lovers to enjoy a unique cultural and musical experience with 'Winter Music', a three-hour celebration of the diverse community of the area to be held this Saturday, August 5.
The show will feature musical and dance performances performed by a combination of long-standing and newly-arrived local performers.
Five artists will perform on the day:
- South Indian Classical Musican Gayatri Bharat
- African Drumming and Percussion Group Yaw and Friends
- Persian Folk collective Avaye Rood Ensemble
- Eclectic Arabian sounds of Ensemble Dandana
- A unique blend of traditional Kurdish Music with rock and alternative influences from Dengê Hêvî.
It promises to be a truly unique musical experience, open to young and old. The event will begin with an Acknowledgement of Country at 1pm.
