The Sydney Science Festival is on again, and Family Science Day is returning to Parramatta Square and PHIVE on August 19, with workshops and activities to engage the whole family.

There will be plenty of hands-on opportunities for younger members of the audience to get up close and personal with the scientific method, with combustible Street Science, a liquid nitrogen show, robots and more happening in the Square throughout the day, where kids will also have the opportunity to learn about food, water and energy production, and see cutting-edge technology first-hand.

At PHIVE, visitors can learn about space and the cosmos, as well as tips on coding, digital instrumentation and even how to build a rocket. There'll be opportunities to meet and speak to real-life scientists and use real scientific hardware like microscopes.

While the entire day and all shows are free to attend, events held at PHIVE do require early registration. For more information and to register your interest, just click HERE.
